Dedicated to women’s self defense, I help female students develop the mental and physical skillset to feel safe and in control through their self-defense classes. It’s my mission to ensure you leave class with the ability to combat any potential danger.

Get Fit By Melinda is a one hour dynamic and convenient fitness class that allows for you to make these workouts part of your routine at your home. For those with a busy schedule, my onsite workouts were designed for your convenience. Whether we train before you go to work, after work, during nap time for the moms working at home, this flexible class schedule is perfect for you! I have created this program with you in mind. Losing weight is a simple concept but requires hard work.

 

High reps and low resistance is the secret to developing slender muscles. Stretching is also a must! Punching and kicking targets and pads provides resistance training to aid in toning muscles and relieving stress.

Feel more confident about your ability to stay safe. Through the training my students become more aware of their surroundings which can help avoid potentially dangerous situations. The workouts focus on working out consistently to aid in the following health benefits: cardio health, relieve stress, increase energy, lower cholesterol, and improve blood pressure. These cardio and self defense classes are designed for females ages 13 years old and up. I truly care about my students' health. You stay on the go all the time. Take time for yourself and your health. Focus on being healthy for yourself and the people you care about. Live a longer and healthier life. My Story

Hello! My name is Melinda Sleppy. I am the founder and CEO of Get Fit By Melinda.  I have been training in martial arts and kickboxing since 2005. I am a 2nd degree black belt certified Instructor in Kenpo Karate. Through my years of running martial arts schools, I have had the opportunity to train and rank in many different styles. Kenpo Karate, Taekwondo, Shotokan, Jujitsu, Krav Maga, and Muay Thai. My teaching style brings a strenuous yet refreshing mix of a cardio kickboxing workout infused with everyday practical self-defense techniques.
